AUSTRALIA ~ The Antipodes
I love a sunburnt country / A land of sweeping plains / Of ragged mountain ranges / Of droughts and flooding rains / I love her far horizons / I love her jewel-sea / Her beauty and her terror / The wide brown land for me / ~ Dorothea Mackellar (1885-1968)

Winter Rain Wonderland

Pic by Gemma Wiseman ~ Rainy window collage

3WW Prompt #XCIII ~ indifferent + pour + reason
~

Winter time is a great time
To practise being
Indifferent to
Winter chills
Winter winds and
The legendary
Winter runny nose
~
But when the skies are grey
And each day is
Riddled
With rain showers
The challenge seems
Beyond vision
Until enchanting landscapes
Emerge
On watered windows
~

Pic by Gemma Wiseman ~ Rainy windshield collage
~
Even a dreaded drive
To the shops
Can be a trip
To a new wonderland
And when rains pour
The windshield becomes
A world of
Glowing
Ethereal shapes
In watercolour
~

Pic by Gemma Wiseman ~ Collage of windchimes and swimming ducks in the rain
~
A rainy day ~
A dismal
Chilly
Winter's
Rainy day
Is reason to
Celebrate
The mystery of
Natural magic
~

P.S. An earlier post called Windshield Art explores this idea too! The first window pic appears a little differently in my posting Fragmented.

I like this perspective, not many people enjoy rainy days but I think it sort sets you in a certain mood

I was just here. ;) That first collage looked like a painting. I love your new toy and the words it inspires.

Gemma, I love this first photo in this series. You have a very nice blog. I will come back and explore some more. I have to go pack for a trip. For now, thanks for stopping by Sycamore Canyon.
