AUSTRALIA ~ The Antipodes

AUSTRALIA ~ The Antipodes
I love a sunburnt country / A land of sweeping plains / Of ragged mountain ranges / Of droughts and flooding rains / I love her far horizons / I love her jewel-sea / Her beauty and her terror / The wide brown land for me / ~ Dorothea Mackellar (1885-1968)

Creative Battery

Pic by Gemma Wiseman ~ Lovely landscape at Red Hill, Mornington Peninsula
~
Write on Wednesday prompt ~ Need a Jump?
~

Nowadays
My creative battery is
Charged by
My camera lens
~
Sometimes
Meditating on
A beautiful landscape creates
Whimsical dream words
~

Pic by Gemma Wiseman ~ House entrance at Red Hill
~
Sometimes
An unusual entrance
Inspires
A storyline
From the past or
A fantasy which
Looks toward
Some
Shadowed or
Light drenched
Vision
~

Pic by Gemma Wiseman ~ A pink rabbit at Golden Wood in Red Hill?
~
But then there are
Those other pics
Waiting to
Delve in
Some playful
Well of
Humour
~
For now
My creative battery is
Humming along quite well
Just as long as I remember
To keep charging
The camera
~

It's amazing what thoughts and ideas come from enjoying the wonders of nature. Complete concentration on the present moment and the precious things in life can create an entire encyclopaedia of poetry. Nicely written. :)

I too see the world through my camera lens, Gemma!

I'd like to hire that landscaper...

True about the photos. If you take enough of them, you have not only the memories, but new ideas as well. Over time, each picture may say something different to us.
