ABC Breakfast Announcer Emma Ayres commented on how special this August 2010 has been.
There are:
5 Sundays
5 Mondays
5 Tuesdays
And this phenomena has not occurred for 823 years!

It's Not Coolville
Microfiction Monday #46 ~ where a picture paints 140 characters, or even fewer. Susan says:
Photos will be from my own archives; illustrations are from Dover Publications' free clipart sample newsletter.

He ignored the jumble of buildings at Coolville.
Belpre was his ritual destination every Spring.
Tiny Hannah was his real Spring, always.

I Know I Stand in Line...
Pic by Gemma Wiseman ~ Figurines lined up for sale at Tyabb, Mornington Peninsula
~
Carry on Tuesday #68 ~ This week our prompt is
the first words of Frank and Nancy Sinatra’s song Something Stupid:
I know I stand in line......
~
We may look the same
We may be shaped from one mould
But I am unique
And I know I stand in line
Waiting for your eyes
I may seem quiet
But I will bring art to you
I'll bring you new life
Yet I know I stand in line
Waiting for your touch
Take me to your world
And I will give you spirit
I'll share your dreamtimes
But I know I stand in line
Waiting for your smile

Empty Vessels Are Empty?

One Single Impression #131 ~ Empty
~
Without furniture
A room's empty of purpose
Speechless dialogue
Without energy
Life's empty of sweet songlines
The soul's in limbo
But dreams awaken
Creative light prisms dance
Possibilities

Through the Looking Glass
Pic by Gemma Wiseman ~ It looks like a small lake with a mini pontoon creating a delightful reflection.
Actually, this is a puddle - just an extract of a giant puddle - outside the brand new Science block at school.
And the pontoon is really stranded crates!
(We have had more rain over the last several weeks than I have seen in my lifetime!
This day saw a little sunshine that lasted about an hour!)

Friday Flash 55
~
Too often I feel that I am the postscript in your life.
While you shop around for gambles, I walk the other way.
I pass you in some carpark, but you are too busy marking your determined footsteps to notice.
Remember that I am the one who pays for it all, for better or worse.
