front yard...

this sign amused me...
It was hung on a tree in a narrow dirt road street parallel to Balnarring beach...
and the tree was on the beach side opposite a home...

eckersley...

Sign on a fence at Balnarring Beach
I like the simple letter element of the sign coloured with hints of a flower.
Clearly, this Eckersley sign is a portable version.
When I checked out the Eckersley website, I found that they even had their own blog,
including references to garden magazines.
My favourite post was Whose for a cuppa?

Levels of Blue

Natural Attractions

Pic by Gemma Wiseman ~ For me, it is natural to be drawn to the character, colours, textures and moods of water.
I especially love the early morning sea mists and the blur of dawning light.
If I wish to relax and refresh, I am naturally drawn to the sea.
Fortunately, on the Mornington Peninsula, I am surrounded by the waters of Port Phillip Bay on one side and the Westernport Bay waters on the other.
I have views of Port Phillip from my verandah.
This photo is taken early morning at Balnarring beach on Westernport Bay, when horses love to exercise along the shores.

Life Shells

Pic by Gemma Wiseman ~ Early Good Friday morning we wandered Balnarring Beach on the Mornington Peninsula.
There we found this beautifull patterned shell, with a very much alive sea creature inside.
You can just see a little of him peeping out on the right.

Riding the Waves

Pic by Gemma Wiseman ~ In the early morning light, trainers exercise their horses at Balnarring Beach, Mornington Peninsula, Victoria, Australia.
They park the floats at Balnarring, ride the sands to Somers beach and back to Balnarring.
Finally, the horses take a refreshing dip.
(It's a few months since I last posted a photo of this event, so I thought it was time to post another!)
