the saga continues...

the Pearl Beach Resort saga in Dromana began way back in 2010...
(The old Italian pizza restaurant is being utilised as a sales office - seen in the back ground above...)
But still there seems to be no sign of progress with this project
- other than demolishing an old home...
My earlier posts featuring other signs for this resort are HERE - 2010 (before the house was demolished)
and HERE - 2012...
And now, the sign above notably has no name of developer or agent - unlike the earlier signs...

What was once a restaurant in Dromana, with views of Port Phillip Bay, has now been converted to an office for selling the yet to be constructed Pearl Beach Resort, a new up market project in Dromana.

Progress with some style

I took this photo recently of a development on the Nepean Highway, facing the Dromana coast of Port Phillip Bay.


On 17th December 2010, I took this photo.
Quite another real estate.


On 13th March 2010, the sign looked like this! It seems to have a developer promoting the resort!
2 years - and still there are just signs!
Has the project crumbled?
One can only hope!

A coastal village on Port Phillip Bay
Dromana is the joy of seaside life.
Each season is a song in Nature's play,
Each moment is a scenic pause from strife.
When holidays are tempting weary slaves
And Christmas is a time to find escapes,
Parades of campers inundate the waves
While residents try dealing with new shapes.
But those new shapes will last for longer now.
A huge three tiered resort will grace the shore.
The humble tent will fringe the fancy bow.
Our simple pleasure place will be no more.
Pearl Beach, the pretty shell without the pearl -
Is this the way our nation will unfurl?
