I like this very much, Gemma. The turtle as bridge is a wonderful metaphor. I see them this way, too.

This is great Gemma. Reminds me of a conversation I was having with my son yesterday about the infinite universe and giant super turtles.

Wonderful imagery Gemma.
As a child I had some pet turtles, they are among my favorite creatures.
Thank You.

Turtles are such ancient creatures. I love your "bridge between then and now". I watch Snapping Turtles every year as they come out of the rivers to lay their eggs and their prehistoric looks gives me pause to think on upon your bridge concept. Your words are lovely in all ways.

Turtles have to be the creatures I most enjoy seeing when scuba diving... there's something so solid about them and yet they move so smoothly!

Thanks for reminding me, and good luck with your turtle mythology!

"...nature's scafolding...the bridge between then and now..." very nice. I've always been ffascinated with that space between then and now...where whole universes and infinite time reside...maybe.

These are lovely. I especially like the last one, which I think is exquisite.

Turtle myths-how unusual. Your poetry really does them justice. I love the last one-so powerful!
