Inspire Me Thursday prompt ~ Find the art in the everyday
~
There is nothing more stodgy for the senses
Than being stuck in the car
In a carpark
Waiting for rain
To stop
~
But when the rain
Keeps raining
With relentless
Warped humour
Desperate minds seek
Desperate entertainment
~
It was then I discovered
The art of the carpark
~
Sweet crystal-like beads
Floated over
Metallic
Brick
And leafy tones ~
Swirling them into
Mysterious
Watercolours and
Leaving a blurring vapour trail
Of magical ghosts
~
~
The skies darkened
The rain poured
The carpark became
A palette of daubed blots
From a frantic artist
~
And beauty therapy
Evolved
It seemed
From nowhere
~
~
One obese piece of metallica ~
Resplendent in a jaunty
Piped
Corrugated beret ~
Frustratingly swelled my landscape ~
But I smiled
When I saw
The hint of
Winking
Fairy lights
In her windshield eyes
~
~
Another metallic beast
Replaced her ~
And I felt the sense of some
Mythical
Cyclops
Watching me
With intense
Bemused
Interest
~

I especially love "the winking of her fairy lights..." what a wonderful post! a great take on the theme...i will never look at being in the rain in my vehicle the same...ever...thank you!
Love your poem!! I love your photos too. There's been many times where I thought something like that would make a good photo. Now I'm inspired to give it a go.
