Art of Flag Flying

Collage by Gemma Wiseman ~ I decided to celebrate the first Blue Monday of Spring with flags from my world.
All these photos are from 2009 Australia Day in January.
The Dromana flag in the middle celebrates my own little seaside township.
The blue and yellow flag is our Visitor's Information Centre flag.
And of course, there are a few Australian flags here.

Australia Day ~ 26th January 2009 ~ That's My World

Pic by Gemma Wiseman ~ Yesterday was Australia Day. A perfect summer's day with gentle, cooling breeze!
The focus for the day was community spirit and casual pleasure.
Celebrations in Dromana, Mornington Peninsula began early morning with a community breakfast at Dromana beach.
Then there were all forms of family entertainment beachside and the more formal citizenship ceremony held under a giant marquee.
Many school students' works were displayed like this mural.

Australia Day 2009 ~ Cockatoo Illusion for Odd Shot Monday

Pic by Gemma Wiseman ~ Two wild cockatoos grooming each other on my verandah at Dromana Hills, Mornington Peninsula!
But their faces seem lined up in such a way that the eye of each one creates a new face?
Amazing what a photo may suggest!
