Sunday Scribblings prompt ~ Happy Ending
~
Just a quiet walk around quiet streets
Can be a perfect way
To let happiness filter
Gently
Into a weary spirit
~
An open driveway
Offering a glimpse of other lives
Lets the mind wander
Magical stories
Of what could be ~
Sedating one reality
With a breath of hope
~
Pic by Gemma Wiseman ~ Golds in a winter garden
~
And radiant golds
Flowering bold
In a winter garden
Keep the sun alive
When the spirit feels grey
~
Happiness
Is the art of
Wanting to find
Not a happy ending
But
A happy beginning

i will remember that last post about happy beginnings :-)
lovely pics and words.
I really enjoyed that poem. The golds would be wonderful to have in my yard during the winter. They would really stand out in four feet of snow.
Gemma,
I couldn't agree more. Happiness is a state of mind and we could choose it. It's just a matter of finding the right angles in the pictures we see in life every day that would make us happy.
Sometimes, unhappiness comes from looking far and searching too hard for things that would make us happy when it is just infront of us. Great expectations.
How much price do we wanted to pay for happiness?
I realised now that a grateful heart doesn't actually need to buy happiness, for we could take happiness for free.
I wish you well.

Great pictures and fitting words. A nice piece
you have such an affinity with nature,, it is a pleasure to see it thru your eyes....
gemma - you have just packed that last verse with such a simple fact --- makes me wonder why it all seems like such a difficult thing sometimes - wonderful verse!!!
Gemma, this is so lovely. I particularly like the first stanza, for it reminds us how the simplest things can bring happiness.
Wonderful poem and photos :) A perfect way to start my Sunday morning.
Loved the whole poem, but particularly the last verse... brilliant!
