Neighbourly Shadows

Pic by Gemma Wiseman ~ Cockatoos feed on the back verandah of my neighbour's house. Late in the afternoon, they create wonderful shots on the white brick wall of the next house.

The perfect shadow shot

What a perfect shot you caught. I just can't imagine cockatoos flying around your home, what an exotic sight indeed.

Glad to hear things are coming along. Soon this new year of dreams and promise will be upon us and we'll strive for the beauty of each and every day in a new world...I hope!

I'm so enjoying the shots of your new neighborhood, I feel a little closer that way.

From my house to your house, have a wonderful Sunday friend!

Magical, Gemma! I've been obsessed with butterfly shadows here in Waikiki. Perhaps the phrase "Butterfly Shadow" will appear in a near-future post; or perhaps I should gift it to Akelamalu? Aloha, Beauty!

Wonderful shot. If you lived here, I'd have thought the shadow was a hawk. A cockatoo seems so much friendlier.

I'm not playing, but I had to stop and comment on this lovely shadow shot.

You are quick and Lucky to have captured that perfect moment when the shadow is in its perfect form.

Chance always favor a ready heart - you were in the perfect time and ready. And the poem to match . . . awesome! The minimalist yet powerful element of the Haiku form is perfect to highlight the beauty of this fleeting moment, and the strong emotion you manage to attach to the words and the image tied them together in a perfect knot of your poetic gift.

Thanks for being part of my writing life in 2008, Gemma. I was less active towards the end of the year but I'm enthused to start in a fresh slate in the dawning year ahead.

May the year to come is as fruitful for you and may it spring more blessings.

Seize 2009!

I wish you well.
