Lovely shots!
They're just all standing around as if they're waiting for something to happen - perhaps a little dip in the puddle and then turning again to look to the sea.

Very nifty - the concentration of the birds around the small watering hole and then the larger picture with the much more turbulent waters of the ocean (?). Lovely, lovely - especially the sharing of the small pond by so many critters.
