Let's freeze together!

Pic by Gemma Wiseman ~ A sight at Dromana beach, Mornington Peninsula

Odd Shot Monday prompt
~

A bunch of guys in the water is
Not so odd
Unless ~
They're not swimming!
~
Most of these guys are wearing
Black jackets with
Gold stripes on
The sleeves
~
Half are wearing white
Shorts?
Underpants?
And the others wear
Black
(A football team
I don't know about?)
~
Some are clearly
Shivering and
Shivering with
Arms tightly folded
~
And I don't dare
Get a close up shot!
~
I too am shivering AND
Giggling
Uncontrollably ~
(It is still winter in Australia)
What if they see me?
~
So
The best pic has
A beach wall between
Me and them
(In case I need to duck quickly)
~
And the next best shot is
Between the pylons of
The pier
(Peek-a-boo!)
~
All the other shots ~
Especially the attempted
ZOOMS ~ are
A quivering
(My quivering)
Mess
~
P.S. But I did get one classic shot that I'm keeping for Ruby Tuesday (tomorrow!)

Watch this blog!

Particularly odd for many of us because, ass you are shivering there in the southern hemisphere, it is reaching for 105ยบ F. here.

Your mailbox shot could have been an Odd Shot as well.

That is very odd shot, why are they in there? They just don't seem to have any fun...

hilarious - have you been peeking!!!
(the tree at the restaurant was by the beach - in the summer, all good eateries are outdoors in crete!)

Gamma, thanks for your comment on Pink Sat. I came over to say hello and was mesmerized by your shot of the men in the water. Is it a dare??? Great peeking for this shot. Smile.

Gemma,

I like the light mood behind the caturing of this shots, and the feeling of awkwardness in the thought of "what if I would be caught, what would they think of me?"

This is voyuerism with mild intentions and done for a different reason but you get a semilar rush of blood and excitement - but the bad news is, if you got caught, you'll experience the same amount embarassment. But that's the fun of it: the taking of the stolen shots and getting away with it.

You somehow succeed and achieved all the fun in the process as evident in your written piece from the experience. The words actually are more exciting than the shots.

I wish you well.

Looks like they testing the water to see if it cold enough to emulate a British Xmas swim... or something.
Odd.

Indeed an interesting shot...around these parts, when men stand together in the Mighty Mississippi, only waist deep, you always know what they're doing...beer drinking is the culpret, a little conversation, a little pee...LOL, boys!

Some people like to torture themselves!

Maybe they are like the group in NYC called The Polar Bear Club .. they take a dip in the frigid Atlantic every New Year's Day ..
