Laziness or Leisure?

Pic by Gemma Wiseman ~ First Spring ventures to the beach, Dromana, Mornington Peninsula

Weekend Snapshot #57
~
PhotoHunt prompt #131 ~ Lazy
~

It is a thin line ~
What amounts to laziness
And what is leisure
~
Viewed from a distance
A guy laid back on a wall
Should play with his child
~
But his face is turned ~
Watching his son intently
As he plays beach games
~
The child's leisure time ~
Free to find personal joy
Protected by Dad
~
Lazed body language
But alert relaxation
Leisure with a twist

that is pure indulgence! NOT laziness for sure! lol.

That's a wonderful photo!

I love this one.
Exactly a dad attitude : Letting his son playing without getting involved in his beach games. A far away watching.

He's hard at work Gemma! That's how dads watch their children! lol

Could be both, I guess. =)

my weekend snapshots are posted here and here. Hope you can drop by. Have a great week ahead.

This looks very inviting. And I loved being by myself as a child.

I'm voting laziness, but it's SO OK. When you have one contained in a stroller and the day is nice, it's just too easy to want to lie down and enjoy it.

I think he is giving his sons freedom and but is also a lesson in gaining self-confidence by playing alone, but an ever watchful guardian while in a relaxed pose, killing two birds with one stone? Great photo Gemma and enjoyed the words too.

I've been trolling around your blog for the longest time tonight. Lovely thoughts and pics as well. I can relate to the "loner". I am like him in many ways. I have had a crazy week and am just now getting around to passing on that kind award you gave me. See you Sunday.

I suppose lazy is when you refuse to get out of the house altogether. Leisurely is another thing altogether hehe

Actually that looks painful to me.
Each to his own.

Yes that kind of laziness is good hehe. happy weekend.

Both I guess, depends on one's perspective :)

Oh....this is MY KIND OF DAY!!!

Mine's a lazy 'nut caper' this week, somebody's grabbing my nuts and running away! Come on by to have a look see if you can find time.

Happy weekend.

Leisure? Lazy? What does it matter? The photo shows where most of us want to be on a Saturday...and the verse brings it all home! Very nice Gemma!

I like your lazy entry "with a twist" - nice one! :)

This is a great photo, but your words are wonderful. I think that is the idea I was going for, but didn't get put into the elegant words you found. Great job.

Nice take on the theme. Being in a reclined position does not always mean being lazy. Looks to me like he is doing what dads should do.

Good capture.
