Pic by Gemma Wiseman ~ Huge cobweb on the front of a house at Arthurs Seat, Mornington Peninsula. The sight of such a large web may instil fears of a large spider being nearby

What wonderful natural Halloween decorations. This summer we had a large garden spider spin a web on our back porch. I wouldn't let my wife knock it down. I went outside every night to visit with "Archy" the spider. He helped keep down the bug population on the back porch.

Great find - Looks like it has been woven with silver
Awesome! Love these shots and mucho scary!
GROSSSSSS...I hate spideys...even the webs give me the creeps and we had a bounty crop of them in the gardens this summer. I think they may be gone now with the frosts, time to go pick up the yard, before the snows...now that it's safe from the ikky creatures...ha...sharon
D'star would definitely consider that Scary.
I agree, my take is gross - I loath the whole Halloween business as it now is.
The line 'A Minefield of Realities' is arresting. A book title perhaps - get writing.
Spiders! Yes, they are indeed scary.
Mine's posted too, if you can find time to stop by. Happy weekend.
Fabulous photo for this week Gemma. Hope your weekend is going well. :)
Spider webs always creep me out a bit. Wonderful photos!
oh dear! i wouldn't want to see that spider!
I don't care much for spiders, but I love their works of art! :) Getting face to face with a really big spider would be kind of scary though...
Spider webs are cool. It's amazing to watch them go about making one. The only time I don't like them is when I happen to walk into one, especially at about face level in the dark. Yuck!!
