Poefusion ~ Tuesday Title prompt ~ Listening to the colour of my mind
~
Waking
Feeling weighty sighs from yesterday ~
Knowing fragments of me
Broke ~
Knowing I could not reach
Another
Tormented
Angry
Being
Locked in a desperate maze of
Escape routes in
Blind
Dark
Alleys
~
Knowing love was simply not enough ~
Listening to the colour of my mind
~
Feeling a sense of wonder ~
On this particular day ~
When the first blur of waking passed ~
He tossled my hair
Gently
Smiled a little and gave me
An angel in
A swirling gown
~

~
Two cherubs graced her feet ~
One held a star
One held a tiny bird
And she carried a tiny candle
Shielded with her left hand
~
She had no halo ~
But instead
There was a place
(Behind her head) for
The halo light of
A candle
To be
~
Perhaps love always reaches
Even the most distant horizons
~
Sailing on a calmer sea
Today and
Listening to the colour of my mind
~

Stunning photos of the ship on the horizon. The poetry is sublime. I just read this one three times. You're amazing Gemma! Have an awesome day :)
Hello Gemma~ You placed the Tuesday Title very nicely with your angelic words. Well done. And, your pictures are really nice too. Have a nice night.
Beautiful, Gemma. This post is pure magic.
I love the way the light shines through the clouds. Awesome!
wow. that ship image is amazing.
Beautiful words!
I love the rays faintly coming down in the first image.
What a wonderful idea that angels can be female. In the bible they are always referred to as male. I have met many angels in human disguise, many of them were female!
Thank on commenting on Karunda Scenic Railway. It was a very pleasant tour.
There is alot of deep meaning hidden in these words Gemma, courage in troubled times, strong love bonds and always calm seas on the horizon. I love the beam of light coming through the clouds, issuing a small, angelic fragment of hope.
You were both in my thoughts on that special day and what a lovely gift, so perfect for ones' little mouse.
Be well friend,
sharon
Wonderful imagery and I really liked how you took all the negative energy in the beginning of the poem and sent it singing out to the horizon.
Truly beautiful words...very soothing and calming. And the photos are gorgeous!
That wee angel looks as beautiful in colour as she does in B & W.
Wow, so happy I stumbled upon this, Gemma. I so know that feeling, of loving so much, and love not being enough. Love the tender smile, and the angel gift.
The second poem is reflective and lovely - I especially like "Perhaps love always reaches even the most distant horizons". I believe so. I believe, just as we remember those times, so do the ones we loved back then.
