Pic from Easy Street ~ Prompt #153 + Mantras in response to Poefusion #14
~
I am not just a few plain wires waiting for you to string your clothes
~
I am not just a clothes peg longing to keep your spun dries in place
~
I am not your clothesline conveniently hidden in your backyard
~
I am not just here to fix your dirty laundry.
~
I am that displaced tree
Nudging out the wires
Determined
To grow
To reach for
The real sunlight

Gemma,
We are all individuals in our own right, that's for sure. That's how it should be!

Love how you have given the tree a voice and room to grow toward the sun. How beautiful. Like Rel said we are each our own. Have a nice day.
now those are awesome... beautiful and encouraging.. it's all about the clothesline.. i just recently wrote abt the clothesline too.. i shall ponder a few mantra overnight and write soon myself...
very nice grouping.. i am still pondering my mantra... i have several i refer to in my personal life... but i cannot seem to string them together yet....
You have given many women (and some men, I'm sure) a voice via your tree. This was quite well thought out.
