AUSTRALIA ~ The Antipodes
I love a sunburnt country / A land of sweeping plains / Of ragged mountain ranges / Of droughts and flooding rains / I love her far horizons / I love her jewel-sea / Her beauty and her terror / The wide brown land for me / ~ Dorothea Mackellar (1885-1968)

Beetles for Breakfast!

This sign is at Cranbourne Botanical Gardens.
I love how a serious message is presented in a funny way.
The Southern Brown Bandicoot is an endangered species of bandicoot.
More information HERE!

Little bandicoot
Some think it looks like a rat
But it's just so cute

The only connection we have for a bandicoot is a computer game by that name. Wonderful sign

Yum yum! But I agree that is a great way to put across some important information...much better than just saying "NO"!

and I am sure no-one wants to fetch them some beetle larvae! or give up the truffles :)

great sign with an important message.

it's a great sign that people should follow. i remember a giraffe in a zoo here died--it had plastic bag in the stomach. apparently, some fool fed it with chips in a plastic bag.

It's a cute little critter. For the bandicoot's sake, I hope visitors honor the sign's information.
