AUSTRALIA ~ The Antipodes
I love a sunburnt country / A land of sweeping plains / Of ragged mountain ranges / Of droughts and flooding rains / I love her far horizons / I love her jewel-sea / Her beauty and her terror / The wide brown land for me / ~ Dorothea Mackellar (1885-1968)

A Red Hill Home

Pic by Gemma Wiseman ~ Many homes at Red Hill, Mornington Peninsula (Victoria, Australia) are two storey and have wide verandahs.
Red Hill is a sprawling country village.

The road to a friend's house is never too long.

The road to a close friend's heart

Interesting to see a house from Down Under. I´d love to sit on this veranda in the evening.

Gemma -- That's a lovely house -- although we're now in a small small house phrase of life, this one appeals to me -- I love the porch; it looks like a place to read a good book and think peaceful thoughts. . And the Village sounds lovely.

It is a neat looking house. Our house is small with a wide porch across the back but don't think it is wide enough to be classified as a veranda. However, I love the word veranda and just might starting calling my porch a veranda. lol

I wish our house had a front porch as large and lovely as this one!
