Writer's Island prompt ~ Impulse
~
Icy winter winds
Prowl and howl
In the darkness
Outside
And the new digital
Camera
Lies beside me
On the table
Hoping tomorrow may shed
Just a little sunshine
For rambling
Secret corners
Of inspiration
~
But the spirit
Is longing for the moment
Now
~
A tiny gnome
Too precious for lonely gardens
Smiles nearby ~
But not for long ~
The spark
Is happening
~
In a new context
Of an aging sideboard
Mellow with etched shapes
Of cloudy faces ~
While silver rain
Tumbles in
In the misty night ~
She lingers
In a world
Brushed
In the mystical
Blue
Inverted
Light of
Impulse
~

Hi Gemma
This seems so personal.so autobiographical.
Hope you are not experincing any bad weather .
I can so well understand the need for good light to take pictures .
so often I have stepped out to realise that the light is not right to take pictures of !
And how beautifully you have payed upon "blue impulse " .
Lovely words for lovely thoughts Gemma :)
A flash of light to reveal a momentary glimpse, and desire is fed.
Ah..the frustration and beauty of photographing go hand in hand..
celebration
woww this is indeed beautiful!
loved the way the verse flowed...and the pic is amazing!!it says a thousand words as it is...:)
keep clicking!
Isn't interesting the way photography 'colors' the way you see things? :)
I love how your camera is inspiring such beautiful poetry Gemma!
"he lingers
In a world
Brushed
In the mystical
Blue
Inverted
Light of
Impulse"
the lines are awesome
Beautiful!
Oh how the color expresses the heart of the poem that laid your emotion and how it affect me as your reader.
I wish you well.
