AUSTRALIA ~ The Antipodes

AUSTRALIA ~ The Antipodes
I love a sunburnt country / A land of sweeping plains / Of ragged mountain ranges / Of droughts and flooding rains / I love her far horizons / I love her jewel-sea / Her beauty and her terror / The wide brown land for me / ~ Dorothea Mackellar (1885-1968)

Harmonic Waves ~ for Monday Mural ~ Poefusion

Pic by Nubia 1515 on Photobucket ~ uploaded on Poefusion as the Monday Mural Prompt
~
Harmonic Waves
~
This could be the name of
A unique gallery
Where poetry and art
(Maybe photos too)
Harmonise to create
Waves of the imaginative spirit
Unfettered by mediums
Or modes
~
Harmonic Waves needs
A logo
Symbolising
The watering down
Of old traditional genres
And the rising
Of global unity
Like magnetic liquids
~
There should be a touch of a
Streaming colour
Balanced by a white sense of waiting ~
Two peacocks
Symbolising a sense of elegance
Curve long ribboned tail feathers
In a hint of
Yin and Yang
Maybe infinity
And above the head of one
A flame
Like a phoenix
Rising toward
A Third Eye
The eye
Of inner awareness
Sweeping
Like a crest on the other
~
The whole is like
A small canvas
Of questions and answers ~
Fragments of visionary hope
Waiting for a hint
Of poetic dialogue
~
Welcome to
Harmonic Waves
~

I feel you've spent a long time letting this picture grow on you - it shows in all the different ideas that you draw out of it.

And I really like the way you link all the images together with the idea of the gallery logo.

Your poem reads like a brief intruction manual for a poetic universe. Very witty and lovely.
