AUSTRALIA ~ The Antipodes
I love a sunburnt country / A land of sweeping plains / Of ragged mountain ranges / Of droughts and flooding rains / I love her far horizons / I love her jewel-sea / Her beauty and her terror / The wide brown land for me / ~ Dorothea Mackellar (1885-1968)

Rattling Red's Makeover

An old train carriage - used to be known as a red rattler - has been converted to a dining experience at Tyabb Art and Craft Centre on the Mornington Peninsula.
The Rattling Red's Kiosk, as it was when I posted about it in 2009, is now Red Rattler Train Cafe with a slight cosmetic makeover.
The original black outdoor umbrellas have been changed to red and inside has more cafe orientated table presentations.

Red rattler magic
Older days rejuvenate
Fresh life and new eyes

Whimsical Door and Two Windows!

This windmill feature used to stand alongside a mini railway attraction at Tyabb Art and Craft Centre on the Mornington Peninsula.
The mini railway is no more.
But the windmill lives on.

A lonely windmill
Blind windows and nowhere door
Still so beautiful

Panelled Reflections

A window of a shop in the Tyabb Art and Craft Village on the Mornington Peninsula.
The reflection is strong in the top half of glass panels but not in the bottom ones!
The top half just captures the huge bear on the roof of another craft shop!

Quite odd reflection

Serene Figurine

An unusual feature outside one of the little shops in the Tyabb Antique/Art/Craft Village on the Mornington Peninsula.
The golden figurine sits on a green, wire meshed bench close to large green leaves..

Tiny figurine
A sense of sacred quiet
Waits for candlelight

I Have Some Questions

Pic by Gemma Wiseman ~ I was wandering around the Tyabb Art and Craft Centre enjoying the warm winter sunshine.
It was time to sit down for a coffee, when I noticed this guy watching me.
How would you translate the expression on his face?
