Windowless
Like my mind
Walls stained with the blood of
Anger and
Broken dreams
Like my heart
A desk marked with curled
Blank slates
And one
Twisted
Noose of
Confusion
But the typewriter
Shines
As if new
Dustless
Unloved

Just Magic
On the Nepean Highway which runs along the coastline of Port Phillip Bay is this tiny shop facing the beach at Rye.
In the midst of cafes and surf style shops, it seems an odd feature.
But it seems to attract lots of customers.
Little magic place
Little bit of fantasy
Like a real dream world

He walked with me...
This guy decided he was going to walk with me awhile along the Rye foreshore on the southern end of the Mornington Peninsula.
He even deigned to smile for a photo shoot!
Four legged new friend
Quietly walking with me
Surprise connection
Finally he decided to wander off into the morning shadows seeking his owner.
(Earlier, I saw his owner on the sands.
Originally the dog was romping in the surf chasing a stick.
I left the beach for this walkway and the dog followed me!)

Red Cheeked Scarecrow
It's Scarecrow Festival time on the Mornington Peninsula.
Each October, the hinterland parades a range of crazy features outside the hinterland properties.
This entry is near the tiny collection of shops at Red Hill.

Her face beams sadness

Circus of questions...
Sherman Alexie - The words come from his poem The Powwow at the End of the World.
Circus of questions
Dancing shallows gathered feet
A cloud burst topples
Bright lightning bolts drop
Shoulder causes broken hoops
Broken storms forgive
