Great shadow - lovely words!
I love how you combine both.

Abstract it is! The shapes might seem threatening at first, but a steady gaze shows many shapes that may be endearing - I even see the head of a cat with whiskers. It is amazing indeed.

Your poem about Autumn is wonderful!

I like how the light makes a heart shape on the wall. Fun shadow and poem. :)

You are so right dear friend, our shadows definitely show a little magic, magic of the soul and the beauty we find in all things in life.

And you go back to the grind of your students and I go back to the grind of summer, the planting, the mowing, the repairs on the home to prepare for another winter, cycle after cycle, day after day we tread ever so steady in our worlds.

The grass is really growing now, as are the flowers...and I purchased something the other day I've been mulling over for a few years...I bought an antique bee hive...oh yeah, I finally did it. I think it's too late in the season to get bees, but I'm still hopeful.

I love having a hive and my very own honey, it really makes you feel a part of nature, sure it's work, but not as much as my lil' bumbling friends will do...ha!

I'll post pictures Monday of my lil' project, summer's coming and we have to make the most of every warm moment of it, as Autumn is ever so close...so weird that you are going through this weather phase and we're the opposite and yes, it's so much fun to see your world and the travels you make around your territory.

It was great having you visit frequently, but it will now be a struggle for me too, as summer's chores pull me in every direction possible.

But at least we have our shadow times and an occasional escape from work to write a quick note to a friend from afar...be well dear friend and try to stay warm as the winter winds brew down under.

And be glad you don't have snow...ewwww...big hugs to you dear soul sister.

I see a small figure of a witch with a cloak, carrying sticks over her shoulder. So, yes. Very fantasy to my eye, as well! Very cool!
