Winter flowers are the best, aren't they? How I miss the camelias living up here in Brisbane.

Tainted beauties and pink sighs...I love it...oh how I wish that we had such sweet beauties in the middle of our winter...I can't imagine anyone saying, oh how I would love to have a cold winter...I wish we had sleet and snow and driving winds, white knuckle driving from gripping the wheel as the car drives all over the slick roads...or let's go shovel 10 inches of snow and then if we're really lucky, we can do again tomorrow...NOT!!!

Why do I stay, well, I guess it's in my blood, it's a rejuvenation waiting the winters out, to be reborn again in the spring, like beautiful butterflies, we emerge to start anew and put in the gardens we were dreaming of all winter...
or maybe we're just tetched in the head!!!

I would miss the things that make the homeland the homeland...we all have these humble beginnings, some just choose to be knee deep in them...is that true my Aussie friend...what would you miss dear sister, of your homeland...

Big fat hugs from afar!!!

What a sweet shot! Such lovely flowers. Their shadows seem to have shapes all their own.

Those shadows are so sharp and clear -- and I love how the pink simply vibrates against the neutral background. Lovely!
