AUSTRALIA ~ The Antipodes
I love a sunburnt country / A land of sweeping plains / Of ragged mountain ranges / Of droughts and flooding rains / I love her far horizons / I love her jewel-sea / Her beauty and her terror / The wide brown land for me / ~ Dorothea Mackellar (1885-1968)

Nature for Rent

Pic by Gemma Wiseman ~ High on Arthurs Seat mountain, looking down to the coastline of Port Phillip Bay, Mornington Peninsula, Victoria, Australia. Arthurs Seat National Park faces the bay. Only a few homes fringe the park. On the other sides of the mountain are many rural properties which feature vineyards. Below Arthurs Seat, on the bay, is the popular seaside village of Dromana, with its gaily coloured beach huts. Many huts were originally bathing boxes from the early 20th century.

I would have no problem with wondering around in that world! A bit too far away, though :-(

What a great vantage point you have! You can see for miles. I would spend a lot of time there and get the most for my rent ;-)

It is a spectacular view of the coast. I am dismayed to hear that the cancer of vinyards has spread so far. Soon we will have no more food production and will be exporting our precious water in irrigation wines.
I like your expression of just enting the place. I have always felt that we are but temporary custodians.
