I enjoyed those haikus! That looks like a charming old fashioned style pub. So that may be your Friday night haunt? Have a drink for me! A Corona thanks. With a wedge of lime :)

Bad Tracy...now your talkin' my language...but it does look like a grand ol'pub, but there is something seedy about the word hotel to me. In my little town we had many grand hotels, as our town was once a major stop on the Mississippi for the paddlewheel boats. Then as the lumber and the shell businesses began to fail, they turned into flop-houses for the poor and prostitutes. Most of them have been torn down and a pitty too, as I have been in many of them salvaging and they were once fabulous monuments to a flourishing community and era. The 60's and 70's raised them all for the modern, sleek, StarTrek look...so sad that we have to demolish our historic past for some cheesy constuct with little character.

Should one intervene
deliberate destruction
to nourish our souls...

Have a wonderful day friend...

My eyes focused right in on that stained glass door. I love stained glass. :-)

I'll look out for it next time we're on the Peninsula.

Your previous post was a great sky shot.

Loved these haikus! The first one really speaks to me, and I love the last line.

Wonderful haiku! They hit the nail on the head as we head into the weekend. I would love to go stay in an old county inn. Alas I don't get too. Dinners and meetings to attend. I don't know if that is yuck or yeah.

Especially loved your last haiku. Glad you were finally able to have them posted. I'm still having difficulties, not sure what I'm doing wrong.
Hope you are enjoying your weekend!
