windswept...

This image clearly suggests that the day was not sunny...
It was cool, misty, rainy... and yes... windy...
I was being driven to an appointment, but I was longing to be home...
I felt generally a bit sad, till I saw the sign on this truck...
I smiled...
I needed a photo...

Dromana Bridge

This is McCulloch Street leading from Dromana on the foreshore up into the Dromana Hills on Arthurs Seat mountain.
Toward the centre of this photo you can see one of several Mornington Peninsula freeway bridges.

Easing traffic flow
Functional bridge with small charm
Beauty of access

The bridge is of simple design but practically it's a very effective link between the peninsula townships.
(I took this photo in between the swooshing of the wiper blades! Almost made it!)

Freeway to Freedom

Pic by Gemma Wiseman ~ It's nice to see a "breathable" freeway between Dromana and Rosebud, after the Easter weekend traffic has gone home.
The Mornington Peninsula on Port Phillip Bay is a very popular place to escape.
