Tree of Life

Shadow of a tree in summer sunlight at Mornington cemetery.
The old branches may have faded away or may have broken, but the sun casts clear shadows of life moving on.
The tree of life...

Perhaps broken life
But that lives in yesterday
Tomorrows live on

trees are beautiful...and so are the shadows that they cast. Happy New Year Gemma!!

We think of trees so often in the context of a forest - a leafy thicket where all feel the same. The lone tree leaves its rich shadow, though - its style and singular personality stand out without neighbors. Nice!

Gen_8:22 While the earth remaineth, seedtime and harvest, and cold and heat, and summer and winter, and day and night shall not cease.

I am so grateful for the cycles of our lives. I am in winter and you are in summer, but we both know that another season is coming.

May your New Year be blessed.

What a perfect shadow! Maybe not as full of foliage as its counterparts, but beautiful nonetheless!

Thank you, thank you, thank you. (You know what for!) I also like that the shadow points to an evergreen tree. Tree of life indeed. Happy New Year.
