Great shadows, Gemma! There's a neat-looking shadow that I see sometimes that appears on our basement wall from light coming in our back door. Your shadow photograph reminded me that I want to capture a photograph of that shadow. I looked; there is no shadow today ...maybe another day.

You always get intriguing shadows gemma.

Busy with family this week -- I'm saving mmost of your posts for a quieter time -- and I didn't blog much this week -- just pix of our great-grandbabies. (And if you don't think that makes me realize how old I am!)

As you move from Winter toward Spring in Oz, I see the veranda as a place to enjoy the warming breezes of Spring. I feel the early warmth you will soon receive...

My gosh Gemma. The side of that house is just one great big blank canvas waiting for something interesting to stream across it. How it must change throughout the day.

A stairway to heaven perhaps...I can see me walking those steps to see what's awaiting this wandering soul...how 'bout you...

Rain, rain, rain, rain,rain...is it over yet...I feel like my entire summer was spent mowing grass and pulling weeds. Sunday we're expecting clear skies, so my day will be filled with garden work as usual, but boy has it been hot and muggy, like walking into an oven...I'm trying to overlook it and just enjoy the summer in it, but I can't sit on the porch swing and enjoy it, cause it's soaked with rain and the mosquitoes are ravenous this year...eeeeee...

We had a really bad storm Friday that the weather channel totally missed, as hurricane force winds blew through the city, threw open my screen door breaking the glass and nearly ripping it from the house...limbs down, trees uprooted, roofs blown off, been a crazy weather year...never a dull moment, but it's better'n snow any day!!!

Hope all is well with you and the kids are manageable...AND you aren't working too hard(yeah right) (I should talk)...

Have a great week dear friend, thinking of you...here's a big ol' Ioway smooch and a hug from across the sea!

'Weaner'...ha!

Great post for the week!

Oooh very nice! The wall is like an old projector screen and I'm imagining those shadows are part of an old super 8 film! And one of those creepy old b-grade monsters will crackel and pop across the screen at any moment!

Hope you have a great week Gemma. Keep warm :)
