AUSTRALIA ~ The Antipodes

AUSTRALIA ~ The Antipodes
I love a sunburnt country / A land of sweeping plains / Of ragged mountain ranges / Of droughts and flooding rains / I love her far horizons / I love her jewel-sea / Her beauty and her terror / The wide brown land for me / ~ Dorothea Mackellar (1885-1968)

Fork in the Road - for Writer's Island

A fork
Loaded
With bite size
Food
~Regimented
Doses
For the hungry
And somnambulist
Ritual feeders
Alike~
Such a fork
Is a prong
A goad
For the road~
Any road
~
But a fork
IN
The road
Is quite
Another matter
~
Stop?
Detour?
Turn back?
Split?
~
Such a fork
Is a symbol
Of breathing~
Old breaths
Or new
~
But to think
One prong
One goad
Is progress
~
Is quite
Another matter

Great photos! Your space is incredibly fine - the images are sublime... A goad for the road - nifty take on the prompt.
