Shadows like that always make me want to paint it on the surface it falls on, like a stencil. A great shot.

And today's answer is?

IF YOU SEE A SHADOW

If you see a shadow
And want to keep it near,
Point your trusty shooter
(Make sure the lens is clear);
Press with care the shutter,
Do not slam or sock it—
Then you’ll have a photo
To carry in your pocket!

A Splendid, Shadowy Door

This metal basket is stylish, when empty it leaves circular shadows on the straight linear table. Under a strong summer sun, the shadows stand out. The look of warmth is a plus for us who reside in a cold and snowy place!

Say it isn't so...back to school already...I disliked school so much, I could never have been a teacher, I was too busy exploring my world of art, discovering and drawing and painting everything I saw...no time for lessons. However, I applaud every teacher out there for your skill and patience and willingness to teach, it takes a special person to be a teacher...sorta like being a dog groomer, not everyone excels at that one either, you have to have the skill and the drive!

We had a fast weather change of 40 degrees today, melting, melting melting...love it, but I guess more snow is on the way for Monday and Tuesday...sigh...guess it is what it is.

I'm working on an Etsy shop for my blog, so tomorrow I stay home and compile photos and junk and start attaching to my shop, have lots to do, but if it keeps me home instead of at a 9-5...I'm all over it, especially with Spring heading our way...it's a glorious season aye!

We were quite busy at the store today, warmer weather really brings out the folks that have bad cases of cabin fever, it gets to ya after awhile, not being able to leave the house because of the weather and when it's that cold out, you can't force us to leave!!!

Sounds like you're excited about the new goings on at the school, and when your happy, your students will be as well, bet you're just the bestest most funnest teacher Gemma...wish I could sit out on that veranda and dream with ya, but I am there in spirit!

Bunches o crazy hugs from the tundra sister!

I really like this planter! (and its shadow, too, of course) I'm trying to judge its size based on the bench it's sitting on. Seems fairly large.
