AUSTRALIA ~ The Antipodes

AUSTRALIA ~ The Antipodes
I love a sunburnt country / A land of sweeping plains / Of ragged mountain ranges / Of droughts and flooding rains / I love her far horizons / I love her jewel-sea / Her beauty and her terror / The wide brown land for me / ~ Dorothea Mackellar (1885-1968)

January 19-25 ~ My Poetry in a Nutshell

Collage by Gemma Wiseman
My Poetry in a Nutshell ~ January 19-25

Water sand and sky/ Shoreline crammed with sunseekers/ Enjoy rare moments

Tiny character/ Hops around in happy dance/ A wren in motion

Creative white train/ Artistic item for home/ White magic for sale

Cafe by the sea/ Pizza and pasta delights/ Cute and welcoming

Blurred generation/ Gowned mannequins face the snow/ Invisible past
But in the 1600's/ Bold forebears shared adventures/ Famed Three Musketeers

Our cat is due for a vet appointment today!
Cage/ Worming tablet/ Booster injection/ Shave between the paws/ Cage
I'M stressed!!!

Impressive large beak/ Plenty of feathery bulk/ Pelican grandeur

Public rules for dogs/ Beer garden limitations/ I hope dogs can read

Moonlight shadows/ Distilling the heat/ Melting the ragged shapes and
Rough colours of/ Today into/ Yesterday

Tranquil scenery/ A place to enjoy being/ Feel within beauty

Senior and junior/ Sharing a walk together/ A happy moment

Where the ocean rises to greet the sky/ I know she has sailed away/ Peacefully

Rippling reflections/ Enchanting dance of colours/ Like melting moments

Waiting for service/ Cars drain patience and pocket/ Liquid survival

Re-visiting Kitaro/ Re-vitalising the music in my soul

Diamond like shadows/ Sometimes laundries dress quite well/ Thanks to Nature's help

Blues on rolling blues/ Blue shopping by blue sea/ Touch of blue heaven

From a distance/ Earth, sea and sky/ Grow/ Daily dramas/ Numb

Creative milkshake/ Seaside shops enjoy gimmicks/ Leisure atmosphere

Reeled into the vortex of your moment

Your wine
Stilling my
Alternative realities

The simmering
Seering aura of
Your dark beauty
My secrets

I feel like a goddess

Dancing in
The shamanic whirls of your
Exotic cigars

Iced minds
Staring at a
Murky mist of
Shameful questions

Our bridge
Our icon
So far away

Between us a white

Eternal Spring of
Cosmic Energy
Moonlight on the
Shimmering Horizon
awakens the

Cosmic Love
within the
Fragrance of Nature

in the Beginning
an old
Silk Road
charmed the
Flight of the Spirit

a Mysterious Encounter
with the
Symphony of the Forest
stirred a
Magical Wave
to the
Symphony of Dreams
like a
A Drop of Silence
buoyed on a
Silver Cloud
Transit on the Wind

beyond the
Howling Thunder
I felt
Innocent People
on a
Journey to a Fantasy
like a
Glittering Green
Stream of Being
Endless Water

My Muse is on glorious Safari/ I'm re-shaping our garden

Popular cafe/ Laden with Italian style/ Taste and character

Grey and silver team/ One seems dusky and one shines/ Like paired yin and yang

Old tiny doorway/ Windowless and tightly closed/ Questions and secrets

Pink clouds model quiet beauty/ Brash greys intent on different strokes
