What a beautiful, colorful mosaic, Gemma! And such a terrific shadow shot! I love it! Hope you're not being effected by the flooding we've been reading about! Have a great weekend and stay dry!!

This mosaic is wonderful artwork. The leafy shapes are a bit abstract, but fun to gaze upon. I think that we have a wall where such art would look just fine...

Happy New Year!

this looks so inviting. It's the sort of spot I'd like to rest. like a secret place. I love your shadow shot.

That's such a pretty mural. I'm imagining the hours upon hours it took to make! Mosaicing (may be incorrect spelling there?) is so time consuming and fiddley I have the utmost respect for artists who create those murals.

Your weather sounds crazier than mine! The weather gremlins have gone mad! Happy New Year to you Gemma!

I was so taken with the lovely mosaic that I almost didn't see the shadows! Beautiful!

Thanks for your comment, I too liked my last shot best. I was driving past the sheds and tank when it hit my eye, so I backed up and whipped out the camera.

I think your shadows enhance the mural a great deal giving it much more interest than it had without them.

Have a wonderful New Year that is totally satisfying.

Beautiful shadow shot start for this new year!
Just noticed that it's +26 C in Sydney today, boy that's a real summer temperature. Here in Casa only +17 but no rain :)
Happy New Year!

Boy am I late visiting today, worked at the shop yesterday and started rearranging, putting away all the Christmas crap for another season, but once I start rearranging, it's the domino effect...EVERYTHING gets moved...GEESH...was I pooped when I got home. I put in a Jane Austen dvd, sat down on the couch with a cup of cocoa and immediately fell asleep!!! Now how's that for old age...ha!

Hope things are back to normal, son is back home, you have a clean house and SUNSHINE and it's summer...to me it sounds like paradise. My crazy friend Lorie and I are going to be doing antique shows this summer, so things have been crazy compiling inventory and getting a game plan together...whew, it'll be alotta work, but I have put a mindset to it, we're not dragging anything super heavy, just lots of smalls and ambiance...what an adventure!

Bummer about the flooding there, it's so good for us to have what we call a January thaw, so the earlier snows melt, causing less flooding later on, but that's not a given either, we had tons of rain last Spring, but the flowers were amazing.

Can't tell you how many times a week I think of you and your beautiful Australia and truly mean to get back over here, it's just that the day slips away, ever so softly these days...and isn't that just the way of it...sigh! So just know that you are loved from afar and grab this big ol' frosty hug I'm sendin' ya from Iowa!!!

Much love and smooches...
