I love a sunburnt country / A land of sweeping plains / Of ragged mountain ranges / Of droughts and flooding rains / I love her far horizons / I love her jewel-sea / Her beauty and her terror / The wide brown land for me / ~ Dorothea Mackellar (1885-1968)

Blotchy Beauty

Pic by Gemma Wiseman ~ Martha Cove and Marina, Mornington Peninsula is a beautiful, scenic world of shining boats waiting for journeys.
But all is not as it seems.
Look closely at the expensive, coloured, same "little boxes" along the waterway leading to Port Phillip Bay, and you will find many are empty.
Nearby, is another new development where streets of blocks of land can't be sold.
The developer went into liquidation over this 92 hectare $650 million "nightmare project"!
{Ref: Bad Developers ~ Martha Cove Development (Tassels Creek)}
Today, we spoke to a man with a yacht moored in the marina!
He said that there were no accessible retail facilities (such as for washing) so he was just stopping awhile before moving on to Queenscliff across the Bay!
A sign says retail is coming soon!
It has been there for about two years!
Enough said!

It's sad. Unfortunately, there are bad developers all over the world. The photo is beautiful.

you have captured a twist in our affairs. Thank you.

Nice Haiku with a message. A willingly tainted blotch that is plausible.
