Shadowy Silent Spaces

Pic by Gemma Wiseman ~ Early morning, on the last two days of school, when just teachers (and no students) walked the floors, I took a series of shots to capture the hollow silence round rooms and doors.

This shot is SO serene...it is beautiful. I have been so busy with school and upper respiratory issues I have been OFF the computer for a while.I am finding that if I am on it for a long time at night, I cannot get to sleep...Not good! I have NOT forgotten you and all of my friends. Will get back into the routine again sooner than later. Miss you all.

Thanks for commenting on my blog.
I like your blog name, BTW!
I could imagine green leaves growing by the door from the shadows. Great capture and composition.
Thanks for sharing and have a wonderful weekend.

A natural and shadowy canopy of foliage permeates - minus students, the calm allow you to reflect on the beauty that surrounds the school. A solitude to catch your thoughts...

Love the shadows and reflections and the feeling of peace and tranquility that you always manage to capture, Gemma! And these same qualities are reflected in your words! Hope you have a lovely weekend!

And truly, silence is golden, I bet you're in heaven right now...summer, no kids, no papers...

I've been so lax of late on my blogging, guess I've been on sabbatical, just running out of time. Just as I get started on the blog in the morning, my dogs start rolling in, then by the time I get home from working in the shop, the shorter days have me pooped and unwilling to even turn on the computer, but that should change after the rush and hubbub of the holidays are over...is it over yet???!

We had a holiday open house today and were swamped, there were 3 of us at the counter most of the day. I was antsy because an ice storm was brewing, by the time I left work it was over, but a thin layer of ice was all over the highway...needless to say, it was a long, white-knuckled 7 mile drive home...at 25 mph...argh! I only fish-tailed once, so all is well, home safe...snow tomorrow they say!

Well anyway, please enjoy your summer for me, that would please me a great deal and I'll just sit back(in the warmth) and enjoy your summer photos, dearest friend!

Have a wonderful holiday and big woolly hugs from the Heartland...USA!!!

Beautiful photo and I bet that silence is sounding very sweet! You've been having storms also? I hope you managed to get back to sleep. There's nothing worse than not being able to sleep! You may need to indulge in an afternoon nap to make up for it. Have a super week Gemma :)

A schoolchild's dream! The sound of silence. Fine ShadowShot Gemma.

The silence must have been a welcome respite from the high decibals of children's voices. This photo is peaceful. I like that.
