Birds are not like us humans who often give up things without any notions of reclaiming any other use. The birds take up where we give up, and land lightly on the utilitarian steel pipe. Nice capture!

Very cool! The bright colors of the bird and the faded glory of that old hydrant look good together. I wondered if the bird had built a nest inside the pipe.
