As It Was

Microfiction Monday #42 ~ where a picture paints 140 characters, or even fewer. Susan says:
Photos will be from my own archives; illustrations are from Dover Publications' free clipart sample newsletter.

Slowly Nature is claiming me!
I am a hint of scorched stones and a whisper of your creative spirit.
Be near me!
Touch me!
Remember us!

These words come from my heart, "It is really tough task to manage between work and blog, but you are making it look so easy, you are taking on a different way on all the write ups, it is indeed pleasure to read your blog. Great!"

Your microfiction evoked so many emotions - despair, longing, need. Brilliantly done.

It's amazing what a small pile of rocks in the woods can evoke. More than any monument, without half the fanfare.

I love the line "remember us".

I love this; I felt that way when photographing it, that it wasn't a ruin so much as a memory. Reading your story caught some of that feeling again.
