AUSTRALIA ~ The Antipodes

AUSTRALIA ~ The Antipodes
I love a sunburnt country / A land of sweeping plains / Of ragged mountain ranges / Of droughts and flooding rains / I love her far horizons / I love her jewel-sea / Her beauty and her terror / The wide brown land for me / ~ Dorothea Mackellar (1885-1968)

Ruby Bandaid

The owners who live at this property in the Dromana Hills are very keen on recycling.
Garden art - pieces of cars- and even the letter box are made of recycled materials.

The old saying about one man's junk being another's treasure is so apt here. A mail/post box is a functional item - why not make it out of recycled items. Waste not-want not is the other old saying that works nicely here!

This is repurposing taken to a very high level. I love the idea of a recycled mailbox. That was such a clever creation. genie

What a fun mailbox, Gemma. I can remember when my father might have made something like that.
