oooh... insulated illusions. That's a marvelous way to describe walls, Gemma!
great images / imagery ..
( ur blog & cmnts platform is sometimes moody -- )
Beautiful ediface, and a wonderful cascade of images in your words!
Ah, this is wonderful~
My spirit so agrees.
Butterflies on ice are out of place! I hope it isn't thin ice or hot ice.
Gemma, I am glad your pictured wall has a balcony. I do like them, they give us a relaxing place to see outside our walls.
Our house has a balcony in back. It is like a two way mirror, we can't be hiding up there. Except in the darkness.
..
"Concocted cocoons"-very rythmic.
Excellent poem!
There are many ways to look at your poem. I like the alliteration of concocted cocoons.
The impossible image of a butterfly on ice is compelling. And disturbing. And impossible. Exquisite poem.
There is not metamorphosis until we suspend our illusions. What a brilliant take on the prompt!
