Pic by Gemma Wiseman ~ Wintry waters at Dromana, Mornington Peninsula.
I know the horizon is not straight, not to mention the railing in the foreground leading to the pier is like a climbing ladder.
But I still love this photo for some reason in spite of technical weaknesses.
It's just different.

Combed strands of soft light, words you speak so well...I so enjoy your Dromana land and so, so far away from the states...and such different cultures we all take for granted that we are all the same. When you said you hadn't heard of a glider, I reflected on the many things that would be so foreign to me of Australia.
A glider is a yard or porch chair that moves back and forth. They are the harbingers of summer in the heartland, everyone wants one and so many of us had them as kids, thus the fond memories of sittin' and spittin' watermelon seeds in the summer and rockin' and singin' summer songs.
My Father still has our old glider on his front screened in porch, he frequently falls asleep there listening to the birds...ahhh, summer.
I still can't fathom summer here and winter there...I just want it to be summer all the time all over the world.
Have a wonderful week ahead sister...s
I love it too. Sometimes the best are not perfect; yours is perfectly lovely.
it's a wonderful shot, despite those supposed imperfections. I love how the light shines through. Mine's a beach theme too! check it out here
Beautiful. I'd love to be standing on that beach hearing your words. Have to settle for the next best thing looking at your gorgeous image of it and reading. Loving this SOOC, it challenges me to just leave things alone.
Hi!
Beautiful photo!! I like it the way it is! Have a great day!!
