One Single Impression prompt ~ Homecoming
~
My heart
My soul
Can never be confined to
The closure of
Four walls
~
The sea beckons
Like silken voices
Singing of other days
In other times
~
I feel drawn to
The eternal song of the sea
~
The sky beckons
Like silken voices
Singing of higher days
In future times
~
I feel drawn to
The hope of the sky
~
And the mountain is
My rock
My earth
Holding my steps firm
Now
While I dream of
Songs
Beyond
~
My ultimate, utopian homecoming is
The freedom
To be
Me in a
Natural world
Anytime
~
I measure out my life with haiku. My camera films my soul. ~ Gemma Wiseman

Again, I sing thanks to you Gemma, as your words of praise, beauty and encouragement, light my way, each and every day.
You are truly a blessed, kindred spirit of the soul.

Always a pleasure to visit this site! Your skill shows both in photography and poetry.
Spoken with the heart of a poet and artist who sees more than just the Natural world! Wonderful, Gemma.
Wow, Gemma. This is very beautiful. I feel at home in the natural world, too. I always feel strange when I am confined indoors.
A utopian homecoming, a perfect homecoming, Gemma! Excellent!
Wonderfully put. I loved it.
strange it may seem to some
Your yearning is so eloquently expressed!
I can so relate to this work Gemma. I feel a yearning and a call to the sea. YOu have captured these sentiments beautifully. Wonderful photo too, ethereal.

Hi, Gemma,
Very nice. Reminds me of Lord of the Rings. :)
The draw of nature creates a longing within many I think. To recognize that attraction and to develop a respect and appreciation for nature is a solace that not all gift themselves with. Your words are lovely.
Home can be found in many places - glad you've found yours!
I can really identify with your poem. I have felt most at home by the sea and under the open sky.
gemma, another beautiful photo... relates well to the 4 walls and your thoughts do justice to the the eternal song of the sea...
Your work is so eloquent and thoughtful. Beautiful! And the photo is superb, as well...
That is simply beautiful. I love the flow of it as I see the gorgeous photo. Lovely.
your poem reminds me of the feeling i have when i am dwelling inland...sort of confined & a bit edgy. your words speak to the deep longing in my soul to be by the water.
Your words about the sea are beautiful and reflect my feelings exactly.
Beautiful poem!
