Shoreham Critter

Pic by Gemma Wiseman ~ I think this is a burro (as opposed to a donkey) at Shoreham, Mornington Peninsula

Camera Critters prompt #18
~
Shoreham is a pretty little village on the coast of Westernport Bay, Mornington Peninsula. Here you will find olde worldes ~ a rambling General Store and homes from yesteryear with just the soft intrusion of more modern, unpretentious homes. Most roads from the main Shoreham Road are just like tracks to beautiful vistas of the sea, looking out to Phillip Island. And along those tracks are fascinating farmlets on rolling hills and some rather cute, friendly critters like this one.

Give me a home by the sea
Where trees, grasses and flowers
Roam to the skyline
Where animals play in peace

And I will live in happiness

What a cute burro! I wonder if he's stubborn? Loved your poem.

Very precious photos. Some people who live near me have a donkey out with their horses. I keep meaning to get a photo, but when I have the camera with me, I never see it.

Those are really good shots of the donkey. I can't wait to see one in real.

I will be content, for now, to live near the sea in the paintings on my walls...lucky girl...

Donkeys have a cross on their back and I don't think burros do. I see a cross on this ones back. Very cute photo either way.
