Weekend Snapshot #48
~
After rainy
Cold days
I ached for the warm glows of
A sunset
Any sunset
~
But I found
The gentle
Embracing
Enchantment of
Midnight blue seas
Rippling to
Pastel lights
Shrouded in
Grey
~
Pic by Gemma Wiseman ~ Dromana in pale winter evening light
~
After frantic hours in
A frenzied week
I longed for lonely spaces
~
And yet
A distant ship on
A far horizon meant
Welcome company
~
Pic by Gemma Wiseman ~ Last look at light over Dromana beach
~
I longed to linger
To stay in
Endless
Freedom ~
To leave
The wires
The traps
The suffocating
Sneers of
Soulless
Ritual and
Duty
~
But then
I glimpsed
The colours of
Hope
Still there
In between
~

Beautiful lines Gemma. And what are those lines in the last shot, transmission lines?
Beautiful! You know, I really envy you that view!
Gemma beautiful skies and fabulous lines! Thank you
Gorgeous shots, Gemma for the weekend! Happy WS! :)
I can send you some heat and humidity from Florida.
Winter does make you feel like that lonely ship, waiting for a glimpse of a sundrenched shore...heat index today in Iowa 108, don't ask about the humidity, Scratchy won't even go outside. This I will deal with happily, the winter is almost unbearable. Beautiful shots Gemma, I'm feeling the salt air.
