Pic by Gemma Wiseman ~ American Memorabilia shop, Rosebud, Mornington Peninsula in AUSTRALIA!

Odd Shot Monday prompt
~
This is really odd! Who would expect to find a bike shop, specialising in American bike memorabilia, a Harley specialist, in Rosebud, right on Port Phillip Bay, about 70km south of Melbourne in Australia! The shop is not in the main shopping mall, but is part of a small cluster of shops where parking nearby is very limited, especially in summer when the tourists arrive for the beach season!
WHY? WHY HERE?
I can only guess! There is a bikie group known as Ulysses in the Rosebud area. This group attracts the older, veteran bikies. Perhaps this shop is a passion of one of the members! Bikies enjoy riding the beach highway and the winding Arthurs Seat mountain road. Perhaps there are enough bikies on the road down this way to make this shop a compulsory pit stop! And the shop is flanked by 2 cafes that seem to do a reasonable trade in all weathers!
And not many shops fly flags here on the Peninsula!

Pic by Gemma Wiseman ~ A rainy, windscreen view of the shop
~
This is really the first pic I took. It was raining. But I wanted to include those bikes out the front! So, the wipers went into fast mode to clear the windscreen a bit, and I took the pic before more rain smeared the view! The other pic was taken later in the day when sunlight made a fleeting visit! And the bikes were gone!

i like the rainy shot best!
Those crazy bikers, be it American or Ausie...they are all crazy in love with their machines. They have been out in full force in this weekend of perfect weather here in the states...my Dad even came for a visit on his huge BMW...he is a spry 80 year old crazy person.

Nice shot! Raining all weekened here too..not so happy when I have 3 loads of washing all over the house hahaa..happy week ahead :D
I always said that motorcycling was the next best thing to flying.
It looks like it is a popular spot for bikers too. As I seem some parked there. Nice shot.
I think that Harleys are universal and the riders are very loyal. I too like the rainy photo...
I wonder if these are the bikers who come to the island for the Races. They are fantatics , but lovely odd people.
Must be a popular biker spot, is my guess as to why. ;-)
thanks for sharing this! I am waiting for my Harley adventure this year, so this is a nice reminder that I will be in the saddle in few days :)!
i am so happy i got down to your odd shot. being who i am i tend to go by quickly if what i am looking for is not there~but i have to remember where you are...my daughter has a very good friend who's parents live in Tasmania. but now you live in Victoria~is it close by?
the shot~probably an american living there loving life in australia and living his dream of owning a bike shop?! oh, what a life that must be....
I don't think Denise has seen this yet. She should. I have morotcycles in my Twofer Tuesday.
