Balmarian

The name Balmarian intrigued me.
It seemed to be an unusual name for a house.
When I Googled the word, the name seemed even more unusual.
Balmarians are a race of extraterrestrials from the Super Robot Wars series.
They are fictional aliens from a Japanese video game.
So now I am more puzzled just how it all connects with a house name.
