To tell you the truth, while I find your cockatoos totally delighting, I like this dark bird!! Or maybe that's because it's in such stark contrast...? Anyway. I really like it. :)

You can certainly see why they'd get a reputation as a harbinger of doom - he's definitely up to no good!

Gemma, are you safely away from the area where the bushfires are burning?

Oh my goodness, I would have thought the roof would be way to hot for his feet in the weather you've been having!

Just the shade against the sky.
With or without superstition, it's perfect.

Nice one, Gemma. Of course, he could be a sentinel on the lookout for the good things the future might bring. Am sure he will give us a raucous heads up if anything appears on the horizon.

Very nice. It does look a little haunting.

I love these ominous creatures, their CAW is a threatening noise, but they are one of my favorites to draw. Light and shadow on their wings makes them a most formidable creature indeed and a blank page of untold tales of doom and promise.

A dream I once had, just before my decision to divorce, was of me as a little girl in pigtales skipping down a brick path into the light of a sunrise, being guided by a big, cawing crow. It was surly a sign for me. I've never looked back and have grown because of it.

Thanks for the reminder friend!
