It's Not Snow!

I saw a very strange event this week!
This photo was taken on one of our many wet summer days.
The white spheres are not snow nor fallen blossoms.
They are hail!
And right after the hail appeared the sun - briefly!
A very odd photo opportunity for shadows!

Mystery of hail
A fleeting icy moment
Till sun melts its soul

And this is how it was just before the sun appeared!

It is hard to remember that whee you are, it is the opposite season! But it is a novelty when there is hail in the midst of summer-now you see it, now you don't!

Neat shadow shot!

We had hail here in Connecticut one afternoon last summer ~ an odd occurrence isn't it?

I posted something about it at the time.

Enjoy your week shadow seeking!

What an unusual shadow shot! I first thought it was blossoms "shedding".

Fortunately for you the hail wasn't large. Amazing how much damage even marble-sized hail can do to a car or roof!

I can remember havinng snow here (in Scotland) in June, so I suppose it's not too strange that you had hail!

That is the snow I wold prefer up north in the winter. Alas, that is not what we will see here anytime soon! Enjoy the beauty of Oz in the summer!

I love the sound of hail, just so it doesn't damage anything. :)

Nothing about this summer is surprising any more, but hail!!
