When I started blogging in 2006, I read for the first time about kookaburras and somebody send me a link to its laughter. Since this time it is my favourite bird and I only regret that we don't have them here in Belgium, lol !
As I think I told you before, Gemma, I only know Kookaburras by the song I used to sing in grade school. Now I've met them twice in your photos and feel so lucky to have done so.

Darling picture! My NYTimes crossword puzzle the other day had "Laughing Jackass" as a clue for Kookaburra. Or maybe it was the other way around -- anyway I had to google to learn more about the bird. So it was fun to see your naturally posed picture. I can almost hear him.
