To pier or not to pier...

Pixc by Gemma Wiseman ~ Here is an intersection in Dromana on the Nepean Highway, Mornington Peninsula.
I find this quite an odd shot because you can stand at the intersection and look straight out along Dromana pier reaching into Port Phillip Bay.

Odd place for a red light! Can you not drive into the bay?
I like the greyscale allusion: between morning and night, the easy grey land which is not one nor the other but part of both, where yin and yang meet to wonder how opposites can exist together (or can they), fudging the language to get around the intent of the law.
A neat metaphor.

It looks like early evening below and daybreak above.

Hello, I'm dropping by from TWTW.

I hope you were not driving when you took this. I guess this would not be a bad place to be caught in a traffic jam, you would have a view of the ocean.

Yeah, that's what I thought so, too, beyond the red light is the ocean. I hope we have careful drivers! In any case, that's a lovely sky photo!

What a great view!
I also love the combination of lamps and lights :)

It looks like a peaceful view! I guess if the other bay is so near then the people can just swim to their shore. :)

Happy Thursday, Gemma!
