Pic by Gemma Wiseman ~ This is an old old pier at Queenscliff, Bellarine Peninsula on Port Phillip Bay.
It leads to two amazing structures.
From a distance, they look quite plain and smallish.
(NOTE: This is NOT the pier for the Queenscliff-Sorrento ferry!)

Three or More Tuesday #39
That's My World Tuesday XLIV
~
Pic by Gemma Wiseman ~ This is the structure at the end of the line of shadows.
Inside looks far bigger than it appeared from the outside.
It seemed to be a giant walk through waiting terminal.
Knowing that this building was not far from The Rip ~ opening from Port Phillip Bay into Bass Strait ~ I wondered if this could have been a major shipping terminal.
I could not look into the other structure on the left.
The way to it was blocked.

terrific perspectives!
The inside of the building is beautiful. I love the exposed wood and the iron design.
This is a nice place to walk and enjoy the sea breeze.
What a lovely place! And what terrific shots! Would love to walk there and enjoy the beautiful blue water!
Have a great weekend!
Sylvia
I like your pictures a lot. The pier with the building in the end looks like our sauna in he sea here :)
That really is wonderful to see inside. Our Pier has become so neglected. It is hard to imagine it ever looking as lovely as this.
Your haiku couldn't fit any better with these pictures you've taken. That first one is great. I can see a wedding taking place in that second one. Hope all is well. Have a great night.
I love the second photo! You captured it well. And a great place just to walk and enjoy the sea breeze.
Lovely place and I loved the interior shot. It looks so different from the inside.
Two very nice perspective shots. Love the first one best - it works with the waves coming in at an angle.
Beautiful photos Gemma. The structure we deem to be quite recent to cater for the Queenscliff-Portsea car ferry. Quite a costly trip I have heard.
Great series of photos Gemma. I always love Australian pictures. This year I am not going to Oz, for my daughter is coming in spring.
Beautiful structures. Very nice.
Hello Gemma...
Such beautiful photos!!! Ohhh...I would just love to be there right now! Hehe! I was totally surprised when seeing the inside of that building as well...it looks much larger when you're inside! Thanks for sharing your lovely photos...
Warmest wishes,
Chari
Wonderful shadows in your photos of this unique pier ... lovely haiku too ;--)
Hugs and blessings,
How I wish it was I standing on the pier fishing instead of working ... *sigh*.
What a beautiful place this is!!
Beautiful photos!!
